Madonna bumps Mariah from No. 1 spot






One diva replaced another at the big top of the national gross sales chart this week, as Madonna's "Hard Confect" album zipped straight to No. 1 after marketing 280,000 copies during its low week in stores.

She bumped Mariah Carey into the No. 2 one-armed bandit and besides moved into indorsement place among female person artists on the all-time list for top-selling albums. "Hard Candy" is her seventh. Only Barbra Barbra Joan Streisand has to a greater extent, with ashcan School.

Deuce rock-and-roll reunions showed up in the Peak 10 this hebdomad, both benefiting from holocene epoch Southland concert appearances.
